Were you recently married but want to get back into that dress and shoot some more edgy photos? We have two sessions we will be giving away that include up to 2 hours of photography time and 50 of your best images on high resolution DVD to reproduce as you like..
Value of $250
Additional photo books or prints will be extra.


Rules and Regulations:
Contest opens August 10th and closes August 28th, 2010. The winner will be drawn on Tuesday August 31st, 2010.

1. Shoot must take place in Ottawa/Ottawa area between September 1st 2010 and October 1st, 2010 to apply for this photography contest. You must be willing to get your dress a little dirty. We by no means will be trashing it by burning it or spray painting it (unless that’s your idea at the end of the shoot)

The two sessions we are giving away are as follows:
a) Modern Bride, some images taken on train tracks, some taken in the river at sunset. Must be willing to get the bottom of your dress wet (it actually makes it cleaner!)
Your husband is more than welcome to come in a suit or whatever outfit to have some photos taken together

b) Country Bride, images will ideally be taken with a barn, horses, hay barrels, and corn fields. Husband is welcome to participate; if you have a farm or area with these qualities please include this in your entry.

2. Because this is a photography contest, winner approves Photographer to use any images for self promotion/contest/portfolios online or printed, or to follow up contest with. Release will need to be signed prior to shoot.

3. Entry form must be completed as specified below

Ever since my wonderful assistant and I trashed my dress on the long weekend , I havent been able to get the sessions off my mind thus why I'm offering two sessions at no cost!

Ottawa Spring Boudoir Marathon

Melanie Shields Photography is hosting our second boudoir marathon this year in time for Spring!






The session will be held at a beautiful hotel in Ottawa, on May 1st and 2nd. (there are still time slots for both days available, please contact for more information)

Ottawa Wedding Show, March 6th and 7th

Wanted to say thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit me at the Ottawa Wedding Show this weekend at Lansdowne Park. Although it was a long two days it was fun and I was glad to meet all of you!

Just a note that our Show Package listed on the flyer will be valid for all consulations booked prior to April 10th.
